Level 2 & 3 ONLY / Technique
This class will be devoted to footwork technique and phrases, and turns (técnica de giros). Material will be applied and practiced using rhythms of 12 (compás de 12).

Intro to Tango Flamenco / Intro & Level 1
This five-week class will teach students about all the basics of flamenco dance, including terminology, introduction to compás/rhythm, basics of upper body technique and footwork, and simple phrases in a four-beat rhythm. We will apply all the work to learning about Tango Flamenco, a festive and rhythm driven dance suited for beginner dancers. A great class for those who have less than a year of experience with flamenco!

Introduction to Alegrías / Level 1 & 2 ONLY / Technique & elements of choreography
This class is a Level 1 & 2 class, where students will be introduced to Alegrías de Cádiz, a dance that uses a 12-beat rhythm (compás de 12), and that has a very interesting and complex structure. Technique and choreography will be applied to a choreography for Alegrías.

All classes have a maximum enrollment of 9 students and a minimum enrollment of 4 students, unless otherwise noted. Drop in fee is $20 for 1 hour classes and $25 for 75 minute classes, and is available only if there’s room. Please consult with the instructor before attending on a drop-in basis.
